Game – Compton Story

After the death of 2Pac, the demise of Death Row and the falling off of Snoop Dogg, the West Coast was badly looking for the next big thing during the early 2000’s and in came Game. He enter the Game (no pun intended) and stood out like he’s 6’5 (which he really is). What made Game so different than say the Bishop Lamonts, Hot Dollars and any other new West Coast artist at the time was the fact his style wasn’t limited to that one region. He had everything that a new artist wants to come in the industry with and it took him far. Game never slacks off when it comes to his albums and he’s a monster on the mixtape scene even to this day. Speaking of mixtapes, this record came from the mixtape, BWS Radio Pt. 5 and I’m assuming this record was recorded with the intention for using it for his L.A.X. album but didn’t make the cut. On this one, Chuck channels his inner Slick Rick and flips the Children Story idea but using it to tell his Compton tale. This happens to be one of my favorites from him.
